The 2014 Conference

The 2014 Conference, organised by the National Youngstock Association, will take place at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire. The conference programme has been arranged to cater for all levels of experience and knowledge; with a series of "practical approach to..." seminars providing information on best practice running alongside updates on the latest developments in breeding, nutrition and health. Through the day attendees will be able to choose which sessions they attend as well as having ample time to visit the various trade stands.

  • Practical Approach seminars will cover youngstock management from birth to breeding and provide practical tips on how best to manage all aspects of production
  • Fertility seminars will cover the recent advances in fertility management
  • Nutrition seminars will discuss the importance of appropriate feeding at all stages of growth to ensure the best performance
  • Health seminars will look at recent developments in the treatment and control of the major diseases affecting youngstock
  • On-Farm Workshop (new this year) on the Hartpury College dairy unit looking at Youngstock management in practice
